2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MIXD ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use our service.

3. About MIXD

MIXD is a browser-based mixed media animation tool. You upload a video, generate printable contact sheets, work on them by hand, upload full-sheet scans, and rebuild the animation as MP4.

The Service includes:

  • Contact Sheet Generator (free): Upload video and generate printable contact sheets with registration markers. No signup or download required.
  • MIXD Suite (paid): Everything in Free plus scan processing, automatic repair, perspective correction, frame extraction, video reconstruction, MP4 export, and unlimited projects. Sold as a one-time purchase. No subscription.

MIXD runs in your browser. There is no desktop app to install. The full paid workflow expects you to print contact sheets and scan them with a scanner or equivalent.

4. Accounts and Access

Free use. You can use the Contact Sheet Generator without creating an account.

Paid access. MIXD Suite is unlocked via purchase entitlement tied to your Uninspired account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration and purchase information
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Not share your account or paid access with others or allow others to use them
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You may use MIXD to create mixed-media animations for legitimate purposes. You agree not to:

  • Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
  • Create content that is illegal, offensive, or harmful
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
  • Share your account credentials or paid access with others
  • Use the service to create spam or misleading content
  • Circumvent technical limits of the free or paid version

Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Uninspired Studio, its owners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your infringement of any third-party rights.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of videos, scans, images, and other content you upload to MIXD
  • You grant us a limited license to process your content to provide the service
  • You're responsible for ensuring you have rights to use any content you upload

Our Software and Tools

  • The MIXD software, interface, algorithms, and branding remain our intellectual property
  • When you purchase MIXD Suite, you receive a license to use the paid features of the Service
  • Unless stated otherwise, one license is single-seat (one natural person)

Exported Animations

  • Commercial use: You may use animations you create with MIXD for commercial purposes, including in marketing materials, client projects, social media, websites, and presentations
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense MIXD itself, or offer the Service (or access to it) as a product to others
  • Exports. You own your finished exports as part of your larger work, subject to third-party rights you include (fonts, images, music, footage, etc.)
  • License. When you purchase MIXD Suite, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual license to use the paid features to create end-product animations for yourself or clients

7. Privacy and Data

Data We Collect

We collect and use your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Data We Don't Store

Important: We do not store your project files, uploaded videos, scans, or work-in-progress animations on our servers. Content processing happens locally in your browser. When you upload media or work on projects, this data remains on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers for project storage. When you close MIXD, your work is not saved on our servers unless you explicitly export and save it to your own device.

Data Backup Responsibility

Since we don't store your projects, you are solely responsible for saving and backing up your work. We recommend regularly exporting your animations and saving files locally.

8. Payment and Billing

Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Paddle as our Merchant of Record. You purchase from Paddle; we license MIXD Suite to you. The Paddle Buyer Terms apply to the payment portion of your transaction and govern tax (VAT/GST), refunds, and chargebacks.

All payments for MIXD Suite and related services are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (Paddle) as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for:

  • Processing all payments and transactions
  • Handling billing inquiries and payment disputes
  • Managing refunds in accordance with their policies
  • Collecting and remitting applicable taxes
  • Providing receipts and invoices

When you make a purchase, you are entering into a transaction with Paddle, and Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy apply to the payment processing portion of your transaction.

Purchases

  • MIXD Suite is a one-time purchase for access to the paid features listed on mixd.uninspired.app
  • There is no subscription
  • You authorize Paddle to charge your selected payment method for the purchase amount
  • Once purchased, you have ongoing access according to the license terms, tied to your Uninspired account
  • By purchasing, you request immediate access to MIXD Suite. Where you are an EU/UK consumer, this may mean you lose the statutory right of withdrawal once access is provided — see our Refund Policy

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep MIXD available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect service availability.

No Cloud Storage

Local-only processing. MIXD processes projects locally in your browser; we do not store project files or uploads on our servers. You are responsible for saving/backup of your exports. This does not limit our legal obligations regarding your account or billing data, which we process as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitations of Liability

MIXD is provided "as is." We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, data, or business opportunities.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual duties (“Kardinalpflichten”), limited to the typical, foreseeable damage at the time of contracting. Any further liability is excluded. Contractual guarantees, if expressly given, remain unaffected. (This clause is designed to comply with BGB §309 No. 7.)

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

Upon termination:

  • Your access to paid features may be revoked
  • Since we don't store your projects or uploads, there is no user data to delete beyond your account information
  • These terms will continue to apply to any exported animations you created before termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate for material breach. Upon termination for convenience (by you) or for reasons not caused by your breach, your existing licenses and exported works remain valid. We may revoke licenses obtained by fraud or material breach.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days in advance where we have your email (e.g. account holders). If you continue using MIXD after the effective date, you accept the revised Terms. If you object and are an EU consumer, we'll explain your options under applicable law (including any right to terminate).

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by German law. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of German courts.
